It is the first question almost every business owner asks us, and the honest answer is: it depends on what the website needs to do. Here are the ranges we see in the Vancouver market and what you get at each level.
The three price ranges
- $3,000 to $6,000: a polished 5 to 8 page site for a service business, built on a solid framework.
- $7,000 to $15,000: a fully custom design with more pages, a blog, booking and integrations.
- $15,000 and up: e-commerce, memberships, custom functionality or large multi-location sites.
What actually drives the price
Page count matters less than people think. The real cost drivers are custom design, content writing, integrations with your booking or CRM tools, and how much of the content you can supply yourself.
A cheaper site that does not bring in enquiries is the most expensive option.
Where to spend and where to save
Spend on your homepage, your main service pages and your contact flow. Save on rarely visited pages, and do not pay for features you will not use in the first year.
